Braids

Hello! I'm going to Africa for 2 years with the Peace Corps after graduation. I was hoping for a braids 101. I haven't had my hair in braids for 8 years, and when I had them in I really had no idea what was going on (all in the mom department). My hair has been relaxed all these years. Quite honestly, I want my hair to be the least of my worries

You're welcome! In my limited braiding experience, the twists tend to be installed a lot faster than box braids and the like - and for me, it's a whole lot easier to take out too.

Thanks! 2-3 months is exactly the amount of time I need during training. I hoping to find someone to do my hair while I'm there. I'm definitely going to stock up on moisturizers before I leave.

It's between Ghana, Kenya, and Lesotho. Still waiting on placement to make the decision. :/ I'm hoping to find a salon when I get there. I don't know if I could do it by myself.
