Braids

Hello! I'm going to Africa for 2 years with the Peace Corps after graduation. I was hoping for a braids 101. I haven't had my hair in braids for 8 years, and when I had them in I really had no idea what was going on (all in the mom department). My hair has been relaxed all these years. You're welcome! In my limited braiding experience, the twists tend to be installed a lot faster than box braids and the like - and for me, it's a whole lot easier to take out too.

Thanks! 2-3 months is exactly the amount of time I need during training. I hoping to find someone to do my hair while I'm there. I'm definitely going to stock up on moisturizers before I leave.

I live in Orlando and I have an excellent Braider. Her name is Alice. She's the owner of Genuine African Braiding on E Colonial. Her number is 407-412-8612. She can give you a free consult to go over pricing. She also owns a hair supply next door and the synthetic hair is from Africa. It look human and lasts for a very long time.

It's between Ghana, Kenya, and Lesotho. Still waiting on placement to make the decision. :/ I'm hoping to find a salon when I get there. I don't know if I could do it by myself.
