My last cigarette was inhaled March 6th at 1:22a.m. Funny I remember exactly as I hadn't even decided to quit smoking at that point in time. I decided to quit a couple hours later while lying in bed. By 1:22a.m. tonight, I will have made it 48 hours. The first week is the hardest. There's been a great amount of nic-fitting to be had these past couple of days. As I sit here, it's still really hard.

I rode my bike all day yesterday, as fast as my legs could peddle and for as many hours as I could stand it. I felt really good afterwards and wanted to bike again today, but haven't had the time. Now it's 20 degrees colder to boot. The best way to deal with the fits is to ride. Walking is good too, but it's a bit tedious in comparison.

Man, this is tough... shit. But breathing is nice, so I think I'll find a way to manage. Maybe I'll just bundle up and go ride anyway. I'm so fucking sick of being a wheezy wimp. I'm excited and optimistic about this change. Just a little nervous. ...Concentrate on all the benefits of good health. Yes, this is going to be awesome.

Oooo, pilates class is tomorrow- yes!
