The problem with me posting fic is that unless I'm this close to falling asleep, I will stay awake just in case anyone's around to fb. Yet another reason me being an author is a bad idea

Yet another reason me being an author is a bad idea. *shakes head and waves finger* I don't know if, realistically speaking, I am actually being that good a friend by encouraging this particular ambition but I want to be the encouraging person, or one of them. :) So: it's a fab idea, and don't let me hear this kind of talk again, missy! ;) (And, this is a result of me reading Neil Gaiman's blog for the last few days over lunch but in the end you'd get sick of all those emails coming in saying how great you and your masterpiece were. Really you would. ;))
*pets the laptop* :( I suppose it's been a really good trooper. But what a time to pick.
And *hugs* for finals and Boy and all the rest. ♥♥♥ I promise fun before freakout, anyway. :)
(questions) 1. I *really* need to read Good Omens. *sigh* See, I just didn't get what the fuss was about (but I was new to Pratchett then and hadn't read any Gaiman, so) but every single person I know who's read it, loved it. So it's probably just me. *makes mental note*
2. I don't know what Oriel looks like. Hmm. *goes to find picture* But agreed on John's and Corpus. Keble had the same effect on me. Hall scared me out of my wits!
3. I'm for baseball. But I bet you guessed that. If anyone can make me warm to football, it's probably you. *g* (This one of many random prejudices I have inherited from my father. *sigh*)
4. *happysigh* That sounds pretty right to me. Chuck in an incredibly big bookshop, swop Boston for NYC or Vancouver and add a little writing and it's very much the same as mine. *pines*
5. I swear on my honour that I was not fishing for compliments with this question! :D Although they are making me very happy, now that they're here. I wondered what you'd say, really, if you'd be able to pick one. Because there's no way I would have been able to. Ohhh, words. We love you.
So. This is probably cheating, but I like this meme, so: ask me questions? ♥
1. Everyone should read Good Omens. It is my favourite of either TP or NG, and that's saying a lot. It's all... apocalypses, and fate and love-stories, and angels&demons and everyone being kinda confused about where they stand when seen against God&Satan. Fun!
2. Yeah, Keble is rather large. The number of times I got lost trying to find the O'Reilly (the theatre inside Keble), or trying to get out! The fact that it's big enough to have a theatre inside it...
3. I'd probably just alarm you watching football. It's like my mum and rugby - everything's normal, and then suddenly she's screaming at the TV. Although I tend to be more of the babbling nonsense at the players. Adam says it's good they can't hear me, as I do have a tendency to call 35yo men "good boy"s!
5. *g* Yes, we do.
Okay, questions for you. Hmmm... so tricky: 1. Outside North America, which one place would you most like to visit? 2. Assuming you couldn't be an author (*wails*) do you have another 'dream' career? 3. (Because my mother would have Freud and Mother Theresa) Who would you invite, living or dead, to your ideal dinner party? So basically, RS and who? 4. What one story would you love to write, and know you never will? 5. (Because I've been wondering with regards to me) Do you think explicit-slash is easier to write than explicit-het? And if so, is it because het is more personal/more plausibly connected to your own body?
Sorry, that last one's weird, but I was wondering about my own writing, so I thought I'd see what you thought
