We're operating on a match-up system so - for those who haven't done this before - this is what happens. You leave a comment to this entry which includes both what you're able to write, and what you would like someone to write for you. This ficathon is het, slash, and gen friendly, so request what you would like, and be very specific about what you don't want/can't write.
In order to facilitate match-ups, I'm asking everyone to be as flexible as possible when listing what you'll write, and to make at least two different requests, including two in different categories (explained below). Tell me if you can't write something, but be adventurous in what you're willing to try (and easy-going about what you receive) - that's why we do these things after all!
Now, for the details:
For the purpose of the ficathon, there are four different types of AU.
Category 1: Internal universe AUs: e.g. if the President had chosen not to run again, or if Josh had died at Rosslyn. For this to work, a relationship in itself does not qualify as an AU. Not even if Josh&Sam or CJ&Carol or Leo&Ainsley run away together. *g*
Category 2: Situational AUs: e.g. different professions, different circumstances, not in the White House but still in 'our world'.
Category 3: Fantasy/Sci-fi AUs: e.g. aliens, demons, apocalypses (apocalypse is a nebulous area, but I'm sticking it in here anyway. Doesn't need to be alien-apocalypse!)
Category 4: Universe crossover AUs: e.g. slayer-staffers, Stargate emergencies in the Situation Room, anything where knowledge of another canon is necessary (doesn't need to feature characters from that canon, although it can, and doesn't need to be sf/fantasy)
Okay, requests work like this. In order to make sure everyone gets a request they can write, please make sure you fill in two different lines in the category request section. That way, hopefully someone will be able to write one of the things you'd like. If you'd like to fill in more lines, or request more than one thing in one category, go ahead - it should make it easier to match! Similarly if you'd like a crossover with a 'procedural' or a 'sci-fi show' and don't care which one.

Word count minimum is 1000 words, but there's no maximum limit - just try and get it in on time!
