The youth hostel sounds cool.
With the hormones, it's something you want to do, for you. I don't think it makes you selfish or anything like that.
I can understand that you want the pronouns used that feel most comfortable to you.

I never much cared for raw oysters when I ate meat. Like caviar, they are wildly over rated. Now, cooked ones in my Dad's paea? Yummy.

Modern antibiotics aren't natural. Would you take those if you had pneumonia? it was once natural to die of bronchitis, pneumonia, or TB. If you were paralyzed would you use a wheel chair? Those aren't natural. Come to think of it, neither are houses, roads, clothes, fire.... Stop fighting yourself: it wastes energy and by definition you end up losing one way or another.

If the pills make you feel better, take them. Remember, I'm in the same boat as a non-binary on T.
