The first question is, why would you want to make your own world?

The answer is a choice. Power or love. Do you want a collection of dolls, sentient dolls, to observe and abuse, to bless and chastise, or neglect, whenever the spirit moves? Or do you want someone to talk to, to sympathise with, to hope for?
