Yup - still off!
It's now been 1 week since I awoke looking like Fat Bastard and, although the swelling has gone down a bit, I'm still not well.
I managed to get through to the doctor's surgery this morning and spoke to the doctor, who said that I "just have" a viral infection, which is "doing what we'd expect" and there is "nothing that can be prescribed so rest and wait for it to get out of your system". He did suggest going for a blood test to see whether I do have glandular fever, which I'll need to do after 6pm as the blood test place is too busy to take my call now!
The most annoying thing about being ill is that time is slowly ticking away until Christmas and I haven't got anything yet! Normally I'd be getting stuff sorted now, but I don't have the energy to face the crowds. I know I could do online shopping, but I really love going to the shops and looking through all the stuff myself, you find the best presents that way! At least I have ideas of other people, which is more than I have for myself at the moment!
I think I will do my Christmas cards while I'm at home though and try to think of some stuff that I want!
