sooo my two hours at bumble and bumble....

Well the whole cutting experience was pretty cool. Having a real real professional teaching a professional how to cut my hair correctly was reassuring. I got their standard long layers (scissors) with side swept bangs. Which really aren't side swept bangs, because there isn't much going on. I only cut off about 3 inches so it's not short or anything...actually by the time school starts, my hair's probably going to be longish again.

the ONLY problem I had was the excessive usage of product. EW.

She used this "Prep" spray to even my hair out so the additional products she planned to use would spread evenly. it also wets my hair with water, so that helped for cutting. She did all the cutting bits. Actually, she had me stand up to trim off my hair cause it was so long...so that was kinda different. The thing with my hair is that there looks like there isn't much of it but it's surprisingly thick. So god, when they were cutting the back part of my hair there was a lot of combing involved so it was like hard combing, up, then snip, hard combing, up then snip over and over again. They kept asking if they were killing me but actually i was totally fine with it. i've been going through that all month just putting my hair up. Another reason i got my hair cut, it's just way too heavy in a pony tail so it all had to come off :)

Ok snip snip away she did...it actually looked better than i thought it would. But then they decided to put in this "Grooming Creme". You know how hair stylists muss your hair to get volume or whatever? Well there was a lot of that. And the educator mussed my hair but at the roots. He kept like rubbing the top of my head to get the roots up that it was just numbing. Anyway, After they were done with that product they decided that they wanted to take "advantage" of the slight wave i have in my hair. When i say slight, i mean SLIGHT. Like the ends of my hair sway a bit. So they dried me hair in such a way that i had wavy hair EVERYWHERE. and when they were done they were just so impressed with how it came out. Like they were genuinely happy. Meanwhile I'm sitting there looking at my hair thinking, um how are you DONE? it looked half damp, it was all messy...and it was just not the polished look that i would consider a good hair cut. But they were so happy so i was like yayy new hair wooooo

No joke, I made a bee line out of there. SO self conscious walking back to my house. It was a long 20 minutes. The humidity actually worked in my favor. It took some of that crazy wave thing out of my hair and made it more manageable.

6 hours after...I couldn't take it anymore...I had to wash my hair. It was the most product i had EVER had in my hair...and it felt HORRIBLE. So out out it went and hopefully now i won't have that hard hair spray feel when i run my fingers through my hair....and with that I shall go and comb it out.

In spite of all this though, i wouldn't definitely go again. I'm thinking styling sessions too ;)
