Been trying to find a good time to get on here and write a journal, as my suitemates think i dont keep one anymore, and my computer is now in the common room. But from what I heard theyre now at the gym, so I figured I'd emerge and make a lil' entry, ya know?
Bleh, I need to erase that phrase from my vocab, it's annoying not only to me, but i imagine to a lot of others as well. Hm.
I started my classes yesterday, and also a growing addiction to Animal Crossing. I actually missed my first Japanese 102 class because of it, but thankfully i think my friends Saotome and Tohyama covered for me. I had Psychology 101 at 1130, and that was...interesting. A few people i know in the class, none that I'm particularly good friends with though. But we'll see. Sao-kun and Tohyama said they also have the same teacher but at a different time so they'll help me with all the work. So many study groups! Awesomeness!! Mostly due to Sao and Toh. Haha. Theyre roommates now, talk about the odd couple.
Aaanyway, Psy101 is taught by some weird Boston guy, and we have to buy 3 of his books for the class. Intimidating. Thankfully my roommate bought his books last semester instead of the teacher she had, but didnt return them, and sold them to me for $50 cheaper than she bought them. Pretty sweet, i think.
Then i went back to my room and played Animal Crossing, and for some reason i thought my class for japanese was at 240, even though its been at 140 all last semester, and this semester too. So at 230 i looked at the clock and realized whatd happened, so i tried to run (but i cant with this hole in my foot) to the class, thinking i could catch my teacher, but i ran into Tohyama and Saotome instead. They said theyd been talking about the hole in my foot and my crutches during class and they think Kayasensei might have overheard (its hard not to hear Saotome) and gotten the idea of why i wasnt there. And then Hanabishi called me and said hed heard i had a hole in my foot or something, andi just laughed. Those boys, theyre so loveable.
545-745 i have Info Lit, which is pretty much a basement class about how to use the library. We meet 7 times total this semester. Its a quarter class that's only one day a week. But of course there's massive homework. For that i have to pick a topic for some research paper, but i cant for the life of me pick anything halfway decent. Suggestions, please! I'm hopeless!! Then around 10 i went to Sao & Toh's room to get help on the japanese homework theyd given me earlier, and instead just watched them play DOD2. Ah, ze germans. Listening to Tohyama say "smooke" over and over everytime Saotome threw a smoke bomb. Crazies.
And yesterday Tom was packing up to move to his Aunts today, he was in what my mom calls a "poopy" mood all day. Just quiet, and one word answers. No fun. After about 3 hours on the phone with him i got him to smile and laugh, though, talking about what he'd seen on mtv and vh1 that morning., felt good. A nice way to ring in our 4-month anniversary, i think. Got a text message later on that night saying he'd found his pictures from the winter we all went down to the city! Haha, i'd just found those pictures two weeks ago myself, good times, most definitely.
Today I went to my East Asian Studies class on Early Korean and Japanese Literature , found out i'm in the class with mostly seniors. Intimidating like woah. But Tohyama and Saotome (oh course - like i have any other friends besides them josh and hanabishi) are trying to bully their way into the class. Turns out my professor is still in Japan, but will be back for class on Thursday. Yay. Have to buy like 5 books for that class. Not yay. Goodbye monies.
Today Tom moved into his Aunts house all I know is it's in the Bronx and i think Becca knows where it is and she cant believe he's there. He said its some kind of 50s style pink house. I laughed for a good long while about him living in a pink house. He was also supposed to unpack today, but instead just talked with me for an hour or two, now he's asleep. 6 hours of sleep in 3 days? I'd be asleep now too, if i could. Happy 4 month anniversary, love.
Tomorrow I have Psych and Japanese 102 again, and Thursday i have 102 and then that EAS class, then i get to go see Memoirs ofa Geisha with Hanabishi - Finally!! We've been trying to see it since early December, now it's finally out and we're set to go. Sad I dont think i'll be able to keep up our tradition of playing DDR beforehand, but maybe I'll heal up enough by then.
I think it's going to be a good semester. Really and truly. I've got good friends, good suitemates, and love. Now all I need is a good job -_____-
