Let's just say, I was not pleased with this journalist's write-up of Bjork's Volta album in The Georgia Straight, so I submitted my opinion on it and here are the results:

This is the article I responded to :

HOORAY! I'm sooo sick of journalists that write those kinds of things about her music, or worse yet: When they make a claim of how she really is as a person.

Thanks so much for speaking out.

Jeez, what a ghastly article. That sorry excuse for a journalist got what she deserved for sure!

Fully ghastly, best word to describe it, thank you for that.

My goodness, she took the time to write up and publish a verbose history of Bjork's gaffes including parodies? She really needs to calm down and cheer up - I am grateful grapefruit is hilarious, and how can you hate someone that makes you laugh?

There's a trend in journalism where the narrative voice has to be heard as "above-it-all". Here's an egregious case.

Some people aren't into her and never will be. I think it's okay to have an anti-Bjork article but it's poor editing to send her to the gig. It's obvious she has a bias she can't put down.

...I was just thinking about this....and you kind of have to feel bad for her....I mean, just being that lame.
If she had been able to come up with her own suggestions about why she doesn't fancy Bjork, she wouldn't have appeared so passive-aggressive, which is probably why I flipped on it- There's nothing worse then passive-aggressive vibes.

At this point I'm feeling she comes off as one of those "stuck" in journalism types, you know the writers that hold back from being in the spotlight so they try to take it off those who hold true to it. Her hating is "ghastly"!

OKay, so I am reading a bit in between the lines, but I cannot fathom how someone could portray themselves like this in public, there must be something more to it.......suggestions anyone?

Dear Goodness! She has done no research at all and wrote that article in pure stupidity. I mean the first line is an insult...wow. Good on you for making a response!
