Let's just say, I was not pleased with this journalist's write-up of Bjork's Volta album in The Georgia Straight, so I submitted my opinion on it and here are the results:

Basically, the Georgia Straight should have found a writer who is fond of Björk ["Batty Björk keeps it surreal", May 17-24].
No fan of Björk wants to read an article based on anything Björk has done in the past that is being made fun of. Unfortunately, Deena Cox has a great take on all of that. What reads clear to a Björk fan is [Cox] is nothing more than a journalist who comes off as a jaded listener who doubts the integrity of Björk's artistry-or, better yet, does not even get it. The approach she takes to Björk's quirks, even addressing her as the "Queen of Quirk", are cheap and out of context, wrongfully crude.
Is Deena Cox trippin'? Björk's been making music since she was 11 years old. She has nothing to prove as far as genius material goes.

HA! As a loyal fan to Bjork, there was no question about handling it.
