Pronto per Roma (forse)

Just when I had lost hope on finding an apartment that I was more than unenthused about renting, I received an email from this agency I had written to about a week and a half ago. They apparently have a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment that can easily sleep five, in Trastevere! Not only is the apartment the right size, and in the right area, but it is also cheaper than anything else we've found, at 2,000 Euros to be split between the five of us. So in dollar terms, it's about $570 a month, not including utilities, but that won't be more than $650 a person. That to me is astounding, especially considering all the searching we did, and could only find either really expensive apartments, or apartments further away from the school that would require us to take the bus and metro all the time. I guess I wouldn't have had a problem with transit going to school, but when we wanted to go out, it was going to always be a hassle having to worry about how we were going to get home late at night, because no one else was going to be living out as far as us, and the five of us might not always be together, so we'd have to venture home alone, which could be scary/dangerous. Now, we will live closer to school, and in the same area as almost everyone else, and we'll be close to all the happenin' bars and clubs!! So we're psyched, and I should be getting my confirmation with the agency tomorrow. We'll round up the deposit, and then I will be completely at ease about Rome, and can relax for the rest of my break.
