Before I start, I just want to say, I thought the movie was very well done. I had some concerns with it coming out so soon, but hey, it inspired me.
After watching the movie, "World Trade Center" I have a couple reflections I needed to write down:
Thank you to all those who fought, who continue to fight and who will fight in the future. You are true heroes and will never be forgotten.
Thank you to all those in the military. You serve the country with honor, dignity, and selflessness. You do things that I will never be able to do, and there are no words to express my gratitude.
Thank you to all the medics, policemen, firefighters, and people who help our country. You make this country the best country in the world.
Thank you to all those who willingly risked their life for the sake of people they didn't even know. The differences of choices you make effect the way others see the world and their choices. You are an inspiration.
Thank you to every American who stays American through good times and bad. You make the differences that change the world.
To those who say that America is a disgrace, remember that it was AMERICAN people that saved victims. It was American people that chose to help each other in times of need. Who reached out with donations, money, blood, prayers, hope, and love.
To see these other countries especially in the Middle East who kill and torture their own people and compare it to our own nation, I couldn't think of a better place to live. This is what a country should be like, and there is no better place in the whole world, and no one can convince me otherwise. It doesn't matter who the president is, it is the PEOPLE that make up America. Remember that, and you will have no reason to ever complain about America again.
If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.
From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there’s pride in every American heart,
and it’s time to stand and say:
I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.
