Let's talk television
There's two music quiz shows on TV at the moment - Spicks & Specks on ABC and RockWiz on SBS.
I think Spicks & Specs is better for loads of reasons including:
- RockWiz's Julie Z tries *way* too hard to make a sober tv studio feel like a pub
- Adam Hills is smart, funny & cute
- Spicks & Specks has much more fun segments including "Substitute" where singers sing well known songs using the lyrics of obscure books such as Notes on Nursing, Surviving Earthquakes and Lawn Mower Maintenance, and "Malvern Star on 45" where guests must guess the song being played on a record player that powered by a bicycle.
- Did I mention Adam Hills? ;)
Spicks and Specks has to be my Aussie TV hightlight of the week (sorry Media Watch), and comes a close second only to American Dad/Family Guy.
