On being perfect
Today, I had it explained to me that by the shear act of being a Pelican, that ALL the service I do is PERFECT.
I also had it explained to me that any other award I might have gotten for service was a consolation prize, because people who get those awards are NOT perfect. Like a Golden Dolphin
I was told that keeping the peace, by way preventing ANY activities from happening, was what really mattered. People who keep the cogs turning through silence should be rewarded.
I was told that the only measure of a groups problems is HOW MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN. Not its lack of recruitment, or its lack of events or its lack of officers, but how well you can feed your sheep, and not let folks find out your groups exchequer has been arrested. If there are no complaints there are no problems.
So all of you LISTEN UP, for I am perfect and I have some wisdom to impart!!!
The Path to a Pelican:
Find the Most Fracked up office you can, and attach youself to it.
When the Person who Fracked it up gets canned, step up.
Give lots of Platitudes, so folks feel good.
and then......
DO NOTHING AT ALL, except submit your reports as necesary.
KEEP THIS UP FOR THREE YEARS....since no one has any negative comments your in. and the sheep who know ZERO about how the game works will see a lack of work on their part as success on your part. They will write you letters.
and because your track record is perfect
you will get a Pelican
so come on chilluns and gather up yer Pygmies....now sit yer asses down and shut the hell up!
