We discovered about halfway through the show that we could actually see the fireworks from the window at the end of the hallway of our apartment building. :) As long as they were higher, which was most of them, we could see them.

I wasn't able to recover the first part of it, but she basically said that she was pregnant with my brother, sitting on the floor, she had me on what little lap she had left (he was born in November) and she made sure I watched it, telling my dad that she wanted to make sure I saw it ( Read more... )

'Tis D-Day everyone. Lets take a moment of silence to remember the men who lost their lives on that day and on any other days before or after in any war.

Today is D-Day.

A moment of silence for all the vets who've lost their lives on this, and any other day of battle. (No matter the war.. past, or present)

Thank you to all vets who did, or are currently serving. The sacrifices you made DO matter.

The Torch run completed in San Francisco without any problems. They changed the route at the very last second.. and threw everyone off guard, but were able to complete the run with minimal problems.  There were some protesters that were detained, but overall, the torch run went, not only very well, but went through some residential areas and past ( Read more... )
