Little Spock was soooo cute! And Vulcan bullies?! WHAT!? Awesome! I still can't get over how f'ing awesome Spock is when he gets PISSED! He beats the shit outta the Vulcan bully and then nearly takes out Kirk! BOOYA!
Winona Ryder...you make a good Spock's mommy. But, I question why she died. If Chekov (my new love) can manage to pull off the amazing feat of transporting a falling Kirk and Sulu (fencing!), why couldn't he transport an already-started-to-be-transported-Mommy-Spock-who-starts-falling??? Plot continuity!? Or just anal fan? Probably BOTH. But, that bugged me about as much as Uhura sucking face with Spock. :P
I can't stop fangirling over Chekov! I want to cuddle him and put him in my pocket and take him with me everywhere! "Wictor Wictor!" "I can do it!" Yes...yes you can, Mr. Chekov. Gah!
Oh and Sulu with the sword! BOOYA! That sword was pretty frickin' awesome! The fights were pretty good, the action was good, but man...can I just go back to Spock letting Kirk have it!? I did like that they allowed Kirk to get beat up quite a bit, and still be the hero. Good job, J.J. Nicely done.
Okay...I may put in a third entry later...I keep replaying the movie in my brain...do de doooo do do do doooooooooooo!
Plus, in the real world: golf ball-sized hail this morning, then sun, then rain, then sun, then pouring rain (SHEETS OF WATER!), now gorgeous sun again...make up your mind Mother Nature!
