Star Trek!
Yeah! Star Trek ROCKED! I'm totally in love with Anton Yelchin (Chekov)! He was so frickin' adorable, it's not even funny! I smell Chekov fan fiction coming to a computer near you!
Karl Urban was SO PERFECT as Bones! He DID steal the show! So perfect! Simon Pegg was hilarious as Scotty (can anyone say comedic relief?) and all in all, good show J.J. Abrams!
Okay, hottest Star Trek cast EVER. I admit, I now have a thing for Bones, Kirk, Spock and Chekov - this reality. And yes, it's an alternate reality....and here come the
GAH! I think my ONE HUGE complaint, is the Uhura and Spock thing! REALLY!?!?!? I can live with the destruction of Vulcan, and Spock's mom dying, but the kissy face between Uhura and Spock makes me go GRRRR!
However, DID love when Spock totally beat the shit outta Kirk! YEAH! Spock is AWESOME! Zachery Quinto did a brill job!
But, why oh why, is the villain always a crazy man who's trying to avenge his wife's death???
I enjoyed seeing Leonard Nimoy, and I believe that Trista and I were the only one's who cheered in the theatre. We also initiated all applause. Sigh. It's hard to see a geek movie when the theatre is NOT full of geeks. :P
Totally two thumbs up!
