yesterday I bought a long scarf that looks hand-knitted.

you have no idea how much self-recrimination can be contained in a statement so simple.

you know? some people are just determined to be miserable and see the negative in every situation.  That must be some sort of hell to live like that all the time, huh?

oh well. I do that too sometimes I guess.  but not today. Today I am beside myself with teh SQUEEEE over a present that arrived in the mail:

so, I am about 75% of the way through with the first knitting project featuring proper cables -made with a cable needle and everything. Its just a stupid little mug cozy/sweater because I prefer to make my initial errors on small items rather than large. And? I hate it. I spent a few of the less-than-useful moments of this morning's staff meeting designing an entire line awesomely cute handbags. i mean AWESOMELY cute and fabulous.  The dilemma now is that I want to make all of them, all at once, but there's only so much time in a day I can spend knitting.

gah.

I so need a staff.

1. I think I made it through the horrible push of this morning. Two of the three big honkin' projects have been put to bed satisfactorily, and I'm not too stressed about the third.

haha! Power outage in Tysons = early departure for me.
