Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

I’ll be celebrating the day with my parents and grandmother.

It’ll be the first Christmas I’ve been able to be with them since 2006 so I’m pretty happy about that.

I’ve got a job interview at a bank on Tuesday. I’d love it if I were to get a job because I just got a bunch of money from cashing out my Whole Foods 401K plan so if I did have a steady income on the horizon it would be an excuse to buy nice Christmas gifts for my whole family (because I’ve been working low paying McJob I haven’t been able to go ( Read more... )

I went to the supermarket yesterday. There were fairly long lines with the pre-Thanksgiving crowd and the cashiers were hauling whole turkeys over the scanners.

I was very grateful not to be working in a supermarket anymore.

Yesterday my nephew, Minya, turned seven.

I made him a painting of a Killer Whale for this Birthday.   He seemed to like it quite a bit.  He’s terribly fond of Killer Whales, to the point where he claims that Legos and Killer Whales are the only things he dreams about.    Needless to say he also got quite a few Legos for his Birthday as well. St Patrick’s Day has been called Chicago’s Mardi Gras in the worst sense of the term. It’s basically a trashy, touristy drinking binge. While St Patrick’s Day isn’t actually until tomorrow, around here the party started a couple days early.
