It was supposed to be a 2-prong jester hat to fit an adult head, but I screwed up on the gauge calculations. I did not feel like ripping out the yarn and start over, so it became a baby hat.

I knitted myself a scarf using one of those trendy fuzzy yarn* and some plain acrylic yarn**.

It was nice, soft, and fuzzy.

One day, I washed it on a normal cycle in warm water. The scarf was still fuzzy. Wet, but still recognizable. I put it through the dryer on low heat. The scarf felted up in a stiff matted mess.
