Well of course
this is a news story...
I'd just like to say, as someone who works in a public library that
a) I would never lend anything sharp to any member of the public, hell, I even think lending them pens is dangerous (I am only sort-of joking there).
b) I think this woman looks perfectly capable of stabbing someone. Obviously she is somewhat crazed as she bothered to make such a big fuss over the whole episode.
My personal opinion is that this woman has an overwhelming sense of her own entitlement and very little perspective. I'm just glad that the BBC didn't name her business so she gets as little self-publicity over this as possible.
I also think that the council are a load of mealy-mouthed rodents who don't have the guts to back up their own staff. Especially
as a member of staff was actually stabbed in one of their libraries just over a year ago and
most of them don't feel safe at work. It would have been nice of the BBC "journalist" had done a little research on the matter instead of going for the lazy, Daily-Mail inspired approach of belittling public service workers who are just trying to do their jobs.
Please remind me of this if I am ever stupid enough to apply for a job in Camden... or with the BBC.
