3rd day in DC

We have enough have memorials and museums and today it's just a take it easy day in DC.

I found a nice place for a good brunch -- Busboys and Poets. There are a few branches and we went to one that's on the way to Georgetown. Seong drove today and DC is actually much easier and cheaper to drive around compared to Boston or NYC.

I love that this restaurant is big and has a pretty good bookstore in it. It also embraces diversity and you see poster of well-known figures from Nelson Mandela to Dalai Lama.

After our hearty lunch we went on to explore Georgetown, one of the residential neighbourhood in Washington. John F Kennedy used to live there.

I find DC a very liveable city. It's not as crowded as big cities like NYC yet it still has a big numbers of shops and restaurants. Parking and food prices is relatively cheaper too.

We walked to the waterfront where Ashley started to feed the hungry seagulls. There are a whole big bunch of them!

It's actually a very cold day. 0 deg C.

There's a skating rink that's not too crowded and so the two younger ones decided to ice skate there.

Anna was guiding and encouraging Ashley and the younger one finally got the hang of gliding.
They could even do a jump!

We were just seated next to the fireplace facing the skating rink.

The cakes were huge and we shared a pot of mussels in white wine sauce too.

After the 2 hour rest, we drove to this big Target store where I went crazy looking at all their merchandise.

I can absolutely understand why everyone loves Target. Think I enjoyed shopping in Target more than in Woodbury Premium Outlet. 😂
