After spending a day and a night in Brooklyn NY, we are now on our way to Washington DC.
It's an almost 4 hour drive. Today it starts to snow and forecast is there will be pretty heavy snow. It's 11:26 am now and already it's snowing quite heavily.
A truck dispersing salt onto the road to make it less slippery.
Pictures taken this morning before we set off.
In Brooklyn we stayed at NU hotel in Dumbo but spent yesterday exploring Williamsburg. The area is a foodie haven and we were very well fed there.
We chanced upon some random Polish American restaurant DZivpla which serves US$13 3 course set lunch and it was really good!
Wild boar ribs, Kurob pork chop, potatoes pancakes, crepes etc. They were all good!
Williamsburg is the arty quarter of Brooklyn and I captured some of the street paintings.
Seong found this roof top bar at Whytt Hotel where we could chill and get a good view of the Manhatten skyline.
We actually chilled out and played a few rounds of Monopoly Deal there.
Walking around a bit more before we had a fantastic dinner at Masion Premiere.
A very classy looking French restaurant which serves great seafood dishes.
Oysters is US $1.25 each before 7 pm and we had 2 dozens shared between Seong, Andrea and myself.
So satisfying.
We also ordered an Atlantic cod and a lobster roll for the younger fellows.
Kind of sad that we are pass the half way mark of our holiday. It's been a great time hanging out with the girls. Love the family time we share.
