Unimpressive

I was curious about some of the Akatsuki guys, so I'm watching some of the Naruto Shippuden episodes. I've just started, so it's the Gaara vs. Deidara fight. Really, I only have 3 things to or comment on after watching the episodes 2-5:

1. This Deidara guy is lame. Or, maybe he's not lame, but he's playing around too much. I'm sure this Gaara guy is

After that lame fight, if Gaara doesn't win, he deserves to get his ass captured.

At the time I wrote this, it looked to me that:
1. It was going to be a Lame fight
2. Gaara should have been able to beat Deidara, because he didn't seem to take the fight seriously
3. Losing the fight would be an insult to fighters everywhere.

When I wrote this, Deidara had not dropped his C-3 on the village yet, and did not know that he was going to play dirty and attack people that weren't fighting him.

Did I say anything about Gaara dying? I didn't know that was going to happen to him. Episode 4, not 24.

...What generally happens when a normal person gets kidnapped. Ransom, slavery, etc. Death and dying is not the first thing I think of; he's a leader, not a normal person, so I was assuming he was... of value?

So you're saying that in Sasori and Deidara's place you would've done the same thing. As a matter of fact, you have been in their place and did the same thing.

And you've made my point for me. Sasori and Deidara aren't seeing a problem with killing Gaara, just like you've never seen a problem with killing, so your fight is with them, not me.

As far as I'm concerned, capturing/kidnapping =/= killing to me, and I still don't understand why they would want to kidnap him if not for ransom. I don't understand the whole Bijuu/Jinchuuriki thing, and I'm not going to try to, as it has nothing to do with me.
