I'm still alive
I survived the birthday thing. Not happily. I got a lovely card from my mother and a new set of sheets. She also got me another 6 months worth of contact lenses, which she'll bring down when she comes to get the nephews for their summer visit.
I received unemployment check #3 today. Yay. I went and picked up a few things at the store, a new hairbrush, because mine got dropped and broke in half, a box of candles because I love them, a 3 tiered wire basket for fruit because I have limited counter space and moving the bananas ever time I need to do something is irritating, a new bathroom scale because my old one died, and edging for the yard because the dirt and weeds that keep covering my sidewalk are starting to get to me.
Jerry came over to do laundry and have lunch. He installed a window air conditioning unit in the spare room so that Ian won't sweat to death when he comes to visit this weekend. He's also gonna bring over the little Weber on Saturday, and we're going to grill tri-tip. I picked up some coriander and cayenne pepper today, so I'll be doing my fabulous grilled in the husk corn on the cob. I may also put together some twice baked potatoes, those are yum, and I'm definitely going to make some spinach and artichoke dip in a bread bowl, and grilled portabello mushrooms . I rock. Oh, if I wanna do the mushrooms I need to get some asiago and romano, I have some parmesan already, oh, and some Italian dressing too. I need to make a shopping list for Saturday morning.
