Stuff and nonsense

Not much going on around here lately. I remembered how small this town really is. My kids had their friend Emily spend the night Friday night, we rented a movie and got pizza and all kinds of junk food (I didn't partake in much, still on the healthy weight loss kick, and down to 134) and had an all around good time. That night when her mom got off work (around 11:30), she came over and brought a couple of beers. The kids were sleeping on the floor in the living room and we sat out on the porch and just BSd until about 2am. Jessica lives across the street from us, with her mom and her daughter, we got to talking and realized that her ex-husband (and baby daddy) lived across the street from me when I was in high school, and he and I were pretty good friends. She has sworn to drag him over next time he comes by to get the midget, I totally can't wait to see him.

Today I borrowed Deana's vacuum and cleaned the dust and crap out of the swamp cooler, she also gave me a stand for the TV to use until I get a real entertainment center, and a spice rack/towel hanger thingy to go over my sink. So I set all that up, then vacuumed the floor, and took stuff out for dinner. We're gonna have spaghetti and garlic bread. I had leftover pesto chicken primavera for lunch (OMG YUM), and have been drinking tons of water. I'm also walking about 3/4 of a mile three times a day, walking the kids to school in the morning, picking up Emma at 2:20, and Serra at 3. My calves are rock hard, and it's really making me feel better.

I have also put in applications at NV Services, for administrative assistant, and USA gas station. Yeah, I know, way to utilize my skills and training, but I just need something to get me by until the end of the hiring freeze. I still have an interview with Tehama County coming up, so that's three job possibilities. Jessica works at the gas station, and will help hook me up there if I find that I really need it, so that's cool. I'm going to keep an eye on the classifieds, and if all else fails they are hiring CNAs at the local nursing home, it's the worst job I can think of having, but like I said, I just need to make ends meet until the hiring freeze ends.

job stuff, settling in, weight, kids, excercise, small town
