oxford would be awesome. i was invited to do this summer study thing at cambridge but i went to argentina instead, although cambridge would have been awesome and as far as i know...cambridge and oxford are exactly the same (of course i don't know much)

i was an exchange student last summer in argentina.
and funny you ask, because i just got rejected from penn early decision, and in all my frenzy of application writing today i'm pretty torn between cornell and dartmouth. but who knows.

i really hope i do go to cornell!! but add me and i'm sure you'll find out

hey, youll get into almost all of the schools you apply to, early decision is hard to get in on so dont worry so much.

and im here all the time, just waiting for you to come and visit and get fucked up with me. obviously this semester is kind of shot for that, but we will hang out over break and then next semester you will come and see what a real party is like.

thanks. i think i'm pretty much set. my next door neighbor does the interviews (she probably did yours -- siggy moore's mom?) but now i'm just trying to get in. any hints on the supplemental essays? haha

Yeah i do actually. Well im not sure if you mean the one supplemental essay or all those BS questions they ask you, but target your application for Cornell dont write general stuff like i want to be a bio major. Write stuff like i want to go to cornell because you have this specific bio program and these specific connections to internships blah blah they like to see you researched the school a lot. K later.

i meant the supplemental. do you mean to write the common app application about what you want to study and what you're looking for in a school or what? hmmmm...is there anything about the general atmosphere you could tell me for use in my essay? (i mean, i visited, but you're the one who's been there for two years)

No, sorry. When i applied, i had to do the regular essay thing and then for the Ag school there were all these additional like (250 word) mini essays. I dont know what school you are applying to, or what questions specifically you have to do for your application or supplemental- but what i meant was if you have to answer any questions on your supplemental like why do you think Cornell would be good for your major? or what aspect of Cornell do you think would benefit you etc, when you write it dont just be like because you have a great poli sci department be like i want to go because you have a Cornell in Washington program in which i can get real life expericene blah blah and show that you took the time to reasearch about the school. Basically, its just because a lot of people just write one format which covers all the schools- like I want to go to your school because its good and then send it off to all the ivies. And if they get into Cornell, they usually will choose like Yale over it. So, if they can tell that you took the time to ( ... )
