Twisting and turning inside her body
Looking for a passage to escape
Engulfed by the walls that are caving in
Time seems to be running out
A light, an opening, a glimpse of hope
Surges of happiness run through the being, as it rushes to safety
But the celebration has come too soon
As the distorted body falls into the world
No first breath, no light of day to touch her eyes
All thoughts of hope crushed
A devastated Mother holds her crumpled mess
And weeps for the life that could have been
