I've been pretty bad about letting people know what I'm up to lately, mostly because I haven't stopped moving since I got back from Alaska. Next stop: this Friday, I'm heading north with Holden to hike the southern range of the Sierras, from Courtright Reservoir to Whitney Portal. We'll be covering around a hundred miles over sixteen days in some of the most beautiful backcountry anywhere. I've been waiting three years for the chance to do this, or rather it's taken me that long to get my act together and do it.

To answer some obvious questions: Yes, I'll bring a camera. No, I don't have that much vacation time. Yes, I'm a lunatic.

I will be out of range of cell phones, radios, shouting, signal flares, war drums, smoke signals, and ESP during that time.
