Man, today just wasn't my day. Oh well, tomorrow is a whole new chance.
Theatre was ok, cept for the part that Krikstan told me and my scene partner that we were doing everything wrong, and it was mostly me. Great!
Physics was sleep inducing as usual, lunch rehearsal for band was nice, cuz I saw Calvin. : ) I haven't hung out with him as much this year, or the second half of last year, and it's been nice over the past 2 weeks or so to get back in touch with a good friend. I got to conduct in band!!! Yeah, it was only scales, but still!! Hooray! It made me happy, despite the fact that Alex was being silly and trying to mess with my mind by asking silly questions and giving me scary looks. And in IB Music we listened to more opera (Einstein on the Beach) and talked about how the songs were designed to put you into a euphoric mood (the Delta state of mind) and how apparently, its the same as taking drugs. It was interesting, and not quite as stupid as you may think. Plus, Einstein on the Beach is seriously the most amazing opera I've ever heard. It's modern genius! It's simply....orgasmic for lack of better words. Oh wait, its not just one orgasm, its multiple orgasms.
So after that funness, I hung out a bit at school, then walked to Brett's car with Brett and Erica, Lily's foreign exchange student. She's so much fun to hang out, and the three of us went to Subway and ate and talked and made fun of Americans. Well, that last one was mostly me and her, but still. And Brett indulged us and listened to our somewhat girly talk, and was being all around wonderful, and then he told me that Krikstan had actually said that he liked me, and thought I was a decent actress. Where did that come from? I mean, I knew that he didn't hate me, but he always picks apart whatever I do, never lets me get past my opening lines, and wow. That made me happy. So overall, my day didn't suck that much.
