New Years and Winter Break

Jan 03, 2005 19:52

Yeah, Winter break was just wayyy to short. I feel supremely bojangled by the system of education of fairfax county.

I didn't want to go back to school. Funny how I used to hate school, when I was really young, and then for a while I liked it, and this year, I've started to hate it again. Not all of it, just most of it.

Anyways, some of my break, I hung out with friends, learned to play poker, just haven't figured out how to beat everyone yet. But I'm getting there. And at least I don't bet everything on a pair of 2's, the way some people do!! : )

The rest of my break I tried to avoid my family and worked or slept. I wasn't as successful at the ignoring part as I'd wished, but oh well.

I did practice flute a lot too, and really made progress on Vivaldi's Spring, which I'll probably play for my IB solo performance. Grawr. 15-30 minute solo. I have no idea what to play, and I should play closer to 20-25 minutes, and not just 15. I wish mediocrity were more acceptable to my conscience.

luv
Sabrina

ps It's good to feel wanted and loved by your friends.
