I Want My Cake!!!!!!!!
Last night,my friend H. brought over some movies to watch. She's been hanging out with us all week; Oldest & Daughter are in VA Beach with their dad & we've been kinda...lonely, I guess.
One of the movies she brought over was Creepshow. I remember my mom taking me to see this movie in the theater 25 years ago. Dam, was it really that long? I was a little freaked out, but I've gotten over it over the years. I was freaked when the great uncle's hand shot out of his grave & attacked his daughter. Then Ed Harris (with hair!) has a grave stone fall on him. :-( And poor Jordy Verell. Meteor shit! Leslie Nielson plays a creep & menaces Ted Danson. I still can't watch the cockroach one, but I do love the Hal Holbrook one. Is he even still alive?
I guess I've been feeling melancholy this whole month. The other day I was listening to songs I probably shouldn't have been listening to; songs my mom liked & had on 45s but were still kinda depressing. I'll cheer up, eventually.
Meanwhile, I got poked today for the 2nd time. I go in Monday to get it read & sign paperwork, then I get scheduled. Woo hoo! I'll be making money again! Thank God!
Daughter has her surgery next Thursday. She's a bit nervous, but I think I can calm her down. Her dad will be there too. I'm going to buy a book to read while I'm there. H. offered to come with me, but I think I'll be ok by myself. Besides, I'll be secure in the knowledge that the next day I'll get to watch the commonwealth of PA pwn him for non payment of his child support. His stupid ass still thinks its above the law. Guess again, motherfucker!
Also, my SIL & her husband went to Toronto last weekend to see Evil Dead, the Musical & she brought us home 2 beavers wearing t shirts with the name of the show. They're cute.
