Calm
Hi All,
This will be my last update about the situation here as things have calmed down dramatically here. There's nothing to worry about. I didn't want to worry you guys in the first place but I figured all of this would be on the news in the US and you'd all be wondering how things were going for us. We are well and, as far as I know, will start work/school on Monday. While the "revolution" is over, it's a new beginning for everyone here.
We took a drive up into the mountains today and saw empty fields being squatted in by hoards of people. They were dividing the land. I don't know WHOSE land, but it seemed to be first dibs. Veysel said the field on the road to the university we work at was the same...full of people roping off their little areas for "keeps." Odd.
