pictures missing
Woke up really early today, like 7, and made some coffee and mini-microwave pancakes. no wait I ate those yesterday. I didnt have anything for breakfast. My brother and I headed out today without my sister cause she had library research to do cause one of her professors hasnt got back to her about a deadline extension...on the way my brother and i joked about showing up to the library and sitting down next to her and then both setting off body alarms. actually now that seems like a good idea cause when she was there she got her wallet stolen...anyway. when we got to the hospital my dad was super awake but still groggy, he said he had been playing poker with his friend Deborah last night last night, and some guy, who made of with all his clothes and his cell phone. when chris told him we had all that stuff, he asked "did you get it from deborah? she must have cornered him in the parking lot". then he commented about how they were doing renovations at the hospital and that it was stupid cause they put the coffee bar outside his room. the only thing he can see from the bed is a long row of computers that nurses and doctors are constanly staring at, a blackboard patient list and a frozen yogurt machine and a coffee machine. aparantly blood thinner makes you hallucinate. while he couldnt remember that we were there the day before, he could remember Deborah had stopped by in the evening and as we talked through the afternoon you could tell his memory was coming round, which was nice, except that he's starting to realize what happened to him. oh yeah and after about an hour this guy i've never seen before walks in and says 'hey sam, what are you doing in here? you cant beat the meat in here'. my dad has funny friends, who love him a lot. He had two friends visit while we were there. we will find out more tomorrow and hopefully when we get their tomorrow they'll have moved him upstairs out of ICU. im gonna bring shit to do tomorrow and just hang out there for as long as possible. activity ideas to engage my dad, are encouraged and may win you a prize. keep in mind that card games on this kind of strength seem like a long shot.
my dad made me and my brother leave at about two, which is about half an hour before we woulda got kicked out anyway...so we qucikly head to little luccas for some nourishment. Rob: what happens if you get a sandwich with cesar or the chipolte turkey special with vinaigrette - do they still put garlic sauce and hot sauce on it? i think im gonna find out tomorrow either way
on the way home i made chris go with me to japan center mainly to kill time cause it beat hanging out at home and i needed some things. things they were totally out of. but i got a new calender and a white out pen...
after panicking but then remembering that my moms cars temperature gauge just naturally rises to max in traffic, we went to trader joes, bought ourselves some groceries, vitamins, snacks and thanksgiving cheese, and returned home. from where quickly i turned right around and drove back out to Alameda to hang out with kathleen cause she was leaving asap to go to her own parent's home for the holiday weekend. got lost on the way for like half an hour thanks to me giving her directions the benefit of the doubt, and then had a nice dinner at golden palace with the Lion. there were lots of pictures with dinner to make the words go by easier and the cat got out when i left. home at 10 a few books richer. called ben to make plans for the 'meeber holiday party tomorrow night on Treasure Island, and he is really really awesome cause he said if i'm still here friday I could have his +1 for fiona apple.

i am really pissed i missed the first snow. plows and all. FUcker. i am pissed on the level that if i was told that third eye blind was playing here in SF, the day after i had to leave. i should wander around in search of Morningwood Studios tomorrow afternoon, and bang on the door and demand a demo tape. "If it leaks on the net, it could only be good promotion for you at this point..."
