(no subject)
so i'm in california cause my dad had a heart attack-ack-ack-ack, he was out all weekend, but he's doing OK now, relatively. today was the first day off the respirator and we actually had a conversation which was awesome. sluggishly he was waking up when we got there and had no idea what had happened or where he was, which led to some interesting conversation. he's very sleepy and getting lots of rest which is of course good. we're learning more by the day and in the meantime I'm getting some quality time with my siblings.
the hospital my dad is in is conveniently located in-between the south san francisco el Zocolo and Little Lucca sandwiches. this is really, really awesome.
im not sure when i am going back to vermont, but im not in any hurry, especially now that my dad recognizes that i'm here, and we can hang out. there's still lots of unresolved issues, like what shape his heart is in and what's to come next. i havent really left the house since ive been here, and nobody want to be around while my mom plays Virtual Magic Kingdom, so tonight im planning on heading into berkeley to do some record shopping and hopefully hang out with kathleen, we'll see what michael lyon says.
im really not into being so public about private things but at the same time ive gotten lots of good messages from people and it would be hard to respond to each individually, (consider yourself spammed)just to let everyone know whats going on with me. thanks to everyone for being really awesome, for whatever reason i always want to tell my blog that i have really awesome friends and finally i am given an opportunity to do so.

on a sidenote has anyone else ever noticed that the word blog comes up as not a word in a livejournal spellcheck?
blog: bog, log, blag, bloc, biog, bldg, blow, blob, blot, clog, flog, slog
