Yesterday I ran like a New Orleans local down the St Charles Ave Street Car tracks; the New Orleans equivalent of Commonwealth ave with runners and beautiful houses but without the heartbreak hill part (it's as flat as a pancake) and and add ducking out of the way of street cars. Although it was just a 5 mile run it was a tough because my feet aren't used to running on packed dirt.

We spent the day driving down the Mississippi delta and went to the southernmost point of Louisiana. The drive wasn't quite as interesting as we had hoped but it was fun and we stopped at a roadside stand for boiled peanuts (YUCK!) on the way back to the hotel. Dinner was at this place called the Cheesecake Bistro, that was trying SO hard to be a local twist on the Cheesecake Factory but the food was just okay, not great.

Today we're going to ride a riverboat and check out the French Quarter. It's going to be in the 70s, eat that snow in MA!!!
