For today's autumnal celebration, I decided to make my own chai. Any of you who happen to know me IRL know that I can put away some chai, and I thought it would be fun to try my own.
I found the recipe through Boing, Boing, and discovered that it belongs to
lucylou You can find her awesome artistic recipe here:
First step: Assemble all ingredients. I've learned to do this like the cookbooks say. It only takes once starting a recipe and realizing you don't have all the stuff. Ok, so some times it takes twice *blushes*
Just after the tea bags have been put into the water
I put all the dry ingredients together before time to add them so I wouldn't be measuring and trying to stir at the same time. I dumped them all in, but I would recommend sprinkling while stirring because the ginger formed clumps that I then had to mash out. Also, next time I might go for a little less honey (I used the amount called for) and a little bit more clove.
Yummy yummy finished product!!!!!
