Huh. I heard they took a bunch of people captive from that farm I passed earlier and are keeping them somewhere on the ship. Guess it's a good thing I didn't check the place out. They might have robbed me or something - not that I have anything incredibly valuable on me. Kinda surprised since it sounded like they were treating those guys pretty well - not just killing them right off or anything.
I honestly couldn't believe it when that old guy told me this ship hunts pirates. I mean, seriously? Well, I guess there are weirder and worse things out there than a bunch of pirates, after all. And I guess that basically confirms that these people aren't the bad guys. That much is a relief, but it's still pretty boring around here. The ship seems to have a few other passengers, too. Some guy named Rufus, and I heard there were a few others.
I hope The Long Night's over quickly. These people are way too superstitious for their own good. Meanwhile, I guess I might as well do some practicing. I'll just sit around being bored otherwise, and besides, I'll never be as strong as Master Van if I don't keep working at my sword techniques.
