hot then cold
After a sweltering day(80's)yesterday(during which I stupidly spent 6 hrs gardening/weeding and digging) we now have a chilly day, damp and grey. Man, this area is strange in spring.
Clove and I met up with Devika and Monito(wearing appropriate monkey shirt) at Jaleo last night for dinner. It was nice to see them, and nice to have yummy food. We did some catching up with them.
It seems so many people we know have transitions going on(change in job, house, family size). I wonder if we'll look back on this time in our lives, in 10 years, as an exciting or an exhausting time. Both? Sometimes, in the midst of all this uncertainty of what is actually to happen(that we hope for) it is hard to see past it all and into sedate life.
I did a quick poetry reading today as part of Shakespeare' Birthday at the Folger, it was a fun event, tons of kids, lots of people dressed festively. I was surprised to see so much activity on such a dreary day. I love that about this area, people get out and do stuff!
