coming up on number 3
Clove and I have our 3rd wedding anniversary this week, on Wednesday. The last couple of years we have tried to follow the traditional gift ideas. Year one is paper, I bought him a japanese maple, took a picture of me holding a "happy anniversary" sign and gave him that all wrapped in beautiful paper(I cheated a bit). He gave me tickets to a play.
Year two is cotton. I made him a stuffed animal crow(all cotton, even stuffing) and he got me a pretty vintage quilt.
So, flash to Saturday, and me saying "what is 3 again?" and he looks it up and finds out it is leather. Hmmmm. He says, "You mean you're not ready?" And I said, "I haven't even started, you?" "nope."
We really enjoy celebrating the little and big things, so this is abnormal for both of us. But with IVF looming in the next 2 months, and gathering our funds for that(had to pay for it last week), we have just been distracted.
Anyone have any interesting and/or creative suggestions?
