I can't really explain this, but I assure you, it's important. Also, I'm trying to come up with a way to make the question itself as least-biased as possible.
Answer with what rings true for you, and any feedback would be swell.
Ahem:
Do you consider Liar Liar one of Jim Carrey's major or minor films? EDIT: I must emphasize that this is the question I really, really need answered here, once and for all. Although I encourage you to wax philosophic, of course. No time to explain!!
Sub-question: can Jim Carrey ever not-be Jim Carrey, as in the fairly frequently uttered declaration around the release of The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine: "Jim Carrey really isn't, you know, Jim Carrey in this film", "Jim Carrey really makes a big departure from Jim Carrey here", etc.
Sub-sub-question: are there any well-known actor types who *aren't* known for their Actor Personality? It occurs to me I can't think of any.
Thank You For Your Time. The Jim Carrey Question has been a topic of much debate between me and the missus lately and I'd like some evidence to support how misinformed she really, truly is.
