Today my morning was like they are in the movies.
So I always had this subconscious image of what "morning life with family" would be like. I imagined me, and nameless stand-in kiddos...probably ones picked up form a cereal commercial, hanging out in the kitchen hurriedly making breakfast. Sunlight would be shining in from yellow curtains as husband....also probably picked up from commercial, came in to rush through a cup a of coffee, kiss kiddos good morning and sit down for a fast breakfast while we're on our way to work and school.
Real life hasn't really turned out that way. Mornings are usually me getting up, while husband and boy are still sleeping. Dear husband is kind enough to get coffee ready, which I pour and try to madly figure out what breakfast options can happen FAST. I go to respective bedrooms and kiss everyone goodbye.
But today it was more like the cornflakes commercial. It was actually better. Husband got up at 6:30 and made omelets and sausage, and aiden was up and reading, and asking for more orange juice.
I drank coffee and we provided useful commentary on the Today Show presentation.
