A strange week, and a look ahead

Jun 16, 2008 00:30

I spent a good majarity of last week at home. I went on Fri., so I could be
at home for Home Coming at London. I think Grandma enjoyed having 4
grandchildren at the service. It was also great to hear Brother Joey speak.
I enjoy hearing him preach, because his sermons have a definite point, as
well as random trivia.
Marie and I went to Avie's Lingerie Shower in the afternoon. I
always feel a little out of place at those events. I'm timid about
lingerie, anyway, and don't want to touch gifts like that. This shower was
nice, though, because there was a wide range of ages. Also, nobody gave
really strange gifts. The cake was very tasty, as well.
Sunday night was great because Mrs. Judy played a great hymn. On
top of that, we got to hear the Youth report from camp. That was a lot of
fun, but it was also a little long! I did get to have a great talk with
Mrs. Judy after church, anyway.
On Monday, I was supposed to spend the day hanging with Theresa, and
then with Grandma, but I woke up with a headache, and didn't do anything!
That little break was nice, and prepared the Kitty for a week of working.
On Tuesday, I went to town with Mom because I had an interview with
Millbrook Middle/Junior High School. It was a lot of fun to meet the
Principal. I'd really love to work with him. I was called back for a
second interview Monday. Now, I'm waiting to see what will happen.
I came back here Friday, and I've proceeded to sort of lose my
voice. It's coming and going, but I was relieved that we didn't have choir
practice tonight. I knew I couldn't sing, but it's hard for me to not sing.
Tomorrow, I'm speaking at the Lion's Club in Greenville, Tues. I'll
speak for Mom's club, and then on Wednesday, I have a meeting with
Vocational Rehab. I'm hoping I can get some more training to figure out
STI, and to get this computer up-to-date...and have it recognize my scanner,
printer, and Mouse again.
Oh, while I was at home, I was putting on my ring, Tues. morning.
It slipped out of my hand, and fell. Luckily, Mom found it under my desk
Wed., but she gave me a real hard time about getting it back. I guess I
just never thought of what monetary value I'd place on my College Ring. It
feels good to have it back on my finger again, though. :-)
