My wife spent most of her young adult life there, and my stepson lived there for 8 years.

That is close enough for me.

Hearing stories of shoveling snow off the roof UP ONTO the lawn make me love my Lower Mainland.

*laughs* that is true... we used to slide down the roof of my mom's story and a half in winter and hit the snowbank before falling off the end of the roof. And as a little kid we were reminded daily not to play with the power-lines since the snowbanks could get that high!! Lately it's more like cold snaps and lots of ice... I feel bad for my daughter because I may not miss the 10 foot snow banks it would be nice for her to experience it...
