Some Personal Stuff
I got cornered yesterday by somebody who pointed out that I haven't written anything personal in here in a long time.
So here goes...
I did my Taxes today. Well, I started on them. Really, Vanilla has been working on the reciepts for weeks. The preliminary is that Vanilla gets a bunch back, and I have to pay. I don't really mind paying taxes, I just hate what is done with them. And it seems like I am being penalized for being successful. Days like this I really think about getting a gun and living in SoCal. I never will, I am too wussy to live in the US.
I am a little stoked about the fact that Vanilla's return will be larger than what I have to pay. Yay holiday fund!
We are planning a trip to San Fransisco. It isn't China or Holland, but it will do for a holiday for the first half of this year. This will be an old fashioned road trip like we used to do, only this time it will be someplace great like North California instead of Kitimat. On the way down we are going to tour the Nacco Tech Centre in Portland, which is where the super secret forklift designs are built and tested. We are hoping to connect up with reepicheep, stay in a nice little hotel, and tour city for about 5 days. The current plan is also to head down to Big Sur and drive back home up the 101 to the Oregon border. We have had eleven days set aside, and two days have already been taken off.
Less than two weeks to the Kids's birthday. I am already excited. Some work people will definately be coming out to this one, and maybe even some family. Just like always, these things grow every time we throw them.
Work is insane. I have done half of this year's quota already. Lots of fun, the money will be good, and I have no problems keeping up.
Last day of the month tomorrow, work is always crazy on the last day. Hoping to take it over 20 units by tomorrow. Here's hopin!
