Ding dong the deed is done.
Well almost done at least. I have finished two of my finals and have a third remaining, which I am not overly worried about thankfully.
Now comes all the odd feelings that come with the end of the semester. The odd combination of happiness that the work is complete, the semester is over. The sadness that comes knowing that the class is over, that many of the people you have grown rather attached to over the past few months are likely going to leave from your life forever. Even more so now that I am leaving this time.
I walked the halls of the Science building, every step bringing back another memory. Some bad, most of them good (given hindsight is 20/20 and wears rose colored glasses). Many faces that I will be leaving behind, some of them dear friends, some almost family in the amount of time I have spent with them over the past several years.
It is sad to walk away from something you love, even if it is to move on to something you need. Especially if you know it is the right thing to do.
