(no subject)
Today's the first day of my senior year at Sage... not sure how that happened... since it's Tuesday, I only have one class (Women Changing the World) from 6-9 tonight. Geoff has class from 10-12 and 2-4 today, so he's up at RPI already. I felt all wife-like and whatnot this morning when I sent him off with his lunch. :-) Now I'm kind of bored though. I'm sick of cleaning, I'll work on that tomorrow after classes. Or maybe ask Geoff to do some while I'm out tomorrow. (He has no classes or TAing on Wednesdays.) We're going to the laundramat tomorrow (joy) and I get to drive there (super-joy). I'm a little nervous about my analytical chemistry class... I've done a lot of analytical chemistry these past two years, but I don't necessarily know the concepts behind it. I wouldn't be worried about the lab except that I hear the instructor delights in coming up with extremely difficult tasks for his students... made worse by the fact that he's the same teacher I had for Gen. Chem. lecture where he was really awesome... So I'm confused and nervous about lab. But at least that's my only lab class this semester. Other than that, it's all humanities! I had the cheapest text book bill I have ever had for a fall semester. All seven books for my English class cost less than my organic textbook by itself! And I've started studying for the GRE's. I really had decided not to go to grad school... but my internship this summer has changed my mind. I'm going to take the test and apply to some biochem programs. I'd probably have to go to RPI though, since Geoff has found something he thinks (and his advisor thinks too) that he could do for his thesis. Since he's actually interested in this topic, he thinks it might be worth 4 more years of torture to get his Ph.D. :-P I think he just likes messing with my head... Anyway, I should go.
