So Comiket is completely different from American cons, I can't speak for any other cons in Japan but I assume they'd be pretty close but with different focuses. Comiket is the Comic Market so it's all about doujin and novels. The con is three days (10a-4p), each with a different genre of doujin being sold. Day 1 is a lot of shojo stuff so doujin ( Read more... )

cons: comiket, tl;dr

.....*speechless with amazement* *w*
...*tries to get over her speechlessness* I-.. It sounds so awesome~~! I mean +510,000 peopleOwO wow~~~~ And I'm very surprised that lots of people there buy their cosplay(even though I too have bought my cosplays=w=''(I have up to 4 that I bought(1 from Hetalia, 3 from Prince of Tennis).... I don't have the skills to sew>_<) The doujinshis look so cute and awesome, Byakuran/Mukuro>w< OMG Ken/Chrome so kawaii~, Russia/Prussia>w< YuGiOh!!X3 They all look so awesome~! The cosplay pics look soo amaziii~ng>w<

I was wondering, were there any Prince of Tennis cosplayers there and have you seen any doujin of it too there? Because Prince of Tennis is my #1 obsession, even though I don't talk about it ,its because nobody seems to be in it anymore;w; *feels lonely* (even though the series is still going on, with other stuff like musicals, a Chinese live-action series, character cds, etc)

I'm sorry that I'm rambling about PoT here. I lo~ve<3 that series for the longest time than any others(like Hetalia, Kuroshitsuji, Soul Eater, Gintama, Bakuman, Sengoku Basara, and many others. Even though I love them too, my love for Prince of Tennis is the strongest, is it weird to have so much love for a series and all its characters? "sighs" Again with my PoT rambling>_<'' (this is probably the longest comment here huh?>w>''

I don't remember if there were any PoT cosplayers, but yeah there was tons of stuff for it everywhere. Merchandise in Animate and other stores, it're pretty popular over there. I remember seeing stuff for it and thinking you'd like it haha.

And yeah it was on the day 2 list, I wasn't looking for it but I'm sure it had at least 2-3 rows at Comiket.

It's on my to read list, but that's a very long list. X3

There's like about over 50 male characters in PoT, and another cosplays for PoT would be school uniform, there's like 9 middle schools that have been shown their uniforms(so far I can remember) and clothing they wore in like cards/posters/cd covers/etc. So it would probably be not easy to find a PoT cosplayer if you not a PoT freak(like me) hehe~ I'm glad that seeing PoT merchandise reminded you of me^///^ Also 2-3 rows, how big is that exactly at comiket?

I envy anime/manga fans who live in Japan, one time they had these limited edition glasses of 5 of the most popular meganes in PoT: Tezuka, Inui, Kite, Yagyuu, and Yuushi(they were like 2,500 yen for each, You can replace the lenses for prescriptions ones(but that would be spendy to custom fit the lenses)But they only ship them within Japan;w; it sucks that some anime goods can only be obtained in Japan>w>

PoT is a fast manga to read(took me 2hours to get caught up of Shinpuri(49 Chs)its a very great series, so many interesting characters with detail in their profiles(sometimes being weird like Niou's "most wanted item at this time" is a screw and screwdriver(reason unknown)XD but its gonna take time to read it, 42 vols worth and up to vol 4 for Shinpuri(Tenipuri=Tennis no Oujisama=Prince of Tennis, ShinPuri=Shin Tennis no Oujisma=New Prince of Tennis) and still going on(but on a monthly rate" but for having to wait a month for each Ch. or two is worth it because the art is so clean and awesome>w< And the fandom!!... you can just imagine what crack goes on there=w=

.... okay I really have to stop this "typing so much" habit, I hope I'm not annoying you with it, am I?>_< Its because of the PoT~~!!!
