i realise i have been totally slack in updating about my birthdayness.
Sat 10th saw a party at nett's, minus the nett as she was mostly passed out in her room, poor thing. There was much millinary excitement and I got to wear fishnets and cat ears... nuff said XD
there was poker playing and a few rounds of thing... that is the most hilarious game to try and teach people, even though most of us had played some variant at some stage or other.
Sunday saw a delightful family bbq, the first time most of the family had had the chance to see the new 'beast' in action, since they all pitched together to get it for Dad for HIS birthday! We had the most omgamazing blue swimmer crabs (sold out of the boot of a car! AWESOME!) in chili, garlic and white wine... so wonderfully good! And there were great sausages from the torrens markets, marinated steak and lamb chops, with salads...
and then came dessert! I finally tried making candice's mousse cake, although my base was far too crumbly... not the right ratio of biscuit to butter... And it was soooo good. There were also minipavs (merengues... but not... soft in the middle still, passionfruit flummery and a so-many-good-fruit(s) salad.
WAS SO FULL!
Wednesday saw a pampering at Julia's (a fellow grad and qualified masseuse) preceded by a quick lunch with nic and followed by a fabulouso dinner at Mesa Lunga (highly recommend the ala carte menu.. the tapas menu seemed lacking...).
We shared Mussels in tomato and butter, cappacio of kingfish and deboned quail for entree and mum and i both had duck while dad had the spaghetti with seafood. All delicious! Also, their Sangria Clara... AWESOME!
Then last night Dad and I drove over night to melb... Binka MAULED my finger on the way when i tried to comfort her... biatch!
got in this morning and practically passed out after lugging my haul (xmas and birthday!) up the stairs.
And tonight was lovely as all my friends from all various quaters (but mostly from the play) rocked up at belgian beer cafe for drinkses! Beautiful warm evening, good beer and complete with Briscola! Well not actually, but Liam bought me the cards and we had an Italian there so we learnt Scopa instead! I think i like Scopa better for 2 or 3 people, but I love brisc with 4.
So birthday haulage!

Thank you everyone, even those of you who will never read this. looking over this list i feel truly loved, not so much by the quantity of stuff (though i love stuff as you all know) but by the consideration and the clear understanding of me that these presents show...
